What TV Time was great at
Let's be fair: TV Time earned its audience. The interface was friendly, the show database was large, and the social layer (comments and reactions) made finishing an episode feel like an event. It was on both iOS and Android, which Cinopsys isn't yet, since iOS is coming soon. TV Time's social feed was a big draw.

Common complaints included:
- Ads. TV Time's privacy policy described showing advertisements.
- Your data was hard to move. As far as we know, TV Time never offered Trakt, Simkl, MDBList or WeTrakr sync, so the years of history you built up couldn't easily leave. That risk became real when TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026: beyond a one-time self-service export, there was no ongoing way to keep your history portable.
- Your viewing data. TV Time was operated by Whip Media. Its privacy policy said it may share aggregated, anonymized viewing analytics with content providers, advertisers and TV networks. That's a different model from a tracker that keeps your library on your device.
- Account required. As far as we know, there was no "just track privately on my phone" option.
